I've heard that people taste like pork, how do we know that?

I mean, did someone interview cannibals, or is it just a guess. When I first heard that, I couldn't eat ham for like 2 years. Anybody have a source on this? (Other than just a creepy "well they do taste like pork, because I ate my parents" kind of take)

  1. I think scientists can also determine what something tastes like depending on it's components.

And also, maybe it is just a myth as well :)

  2. They're are several documented cases of cannibalism. They are the ones that say humans taste like pork, I too have heard this. You can do a google search to find out more.

  3. I first read about it about 40 years ago that when the Europeans explored the Pacific Islands found the natives ate the bodies of their enemies.

Their name translated as "Long Pig", and I have no doubt it was tasted by the Europeans either voluntarily or after they had eaten

  4. ew..good thing i hate pork LOL

  6. A japanese cannibal who was interviewed answered this question, saying they did have a sweet pork like taste. He was only free due to his father being rich and able to bail him out. He still is free.
