It has carrots and peas in it. Aren't those healthy?

& isn't it just plain noodles? how is it unhealthy?

Does seasoning come in it? If so, what's so bad about the seasoning?

  1. The noodles are deep fried prior to drying and packaging, and the soup base is loaded with sodium and preservatives. The two pieces of dried out "vegetables" don't really count as contribution to your daily nutrition.

  2. I'd say sodium and carbs.

    read this

  4. One of my friends ate only instant* ramen for 3 days straight and subsequently fainted from lack of anything healthy to eat... as he was in the attic at the time, installing cables, this was not a good thing.  Nor was landing in the kitchen.

*Instant ramen is not good. Real ramen from a real ramen shoppe located somewhere in Japan is generally pretty healthy due to all the meat and vegetables and broth (that they have to strain of the unidentifiable animal bits before they serve it to you).  If you are going to be in Kyoto, I can recommend some really good ramen shoppes.

  5. Have you even looked at the nutrition label? The stuff is loaded with sodium.

  6. yeah I heard that too. my ex mother in law used to say it caused cancer. I used to laugh when she would say that ( old bag) Any way it has alot of salt

  7. It's basically sodium, chemicals and carbs.  The vegetable are minimal.

  8. The sodium is what's so bad, for the most part.

  9. The seasoning has way too much seasoning for one meal. The vegetables aren't enough to be counted as a healthy serving. Also, dried carrots and peas aren't nearly as nutritional as fresh ones.

Instant ramen is alright as one meal every once in a while, but not so good when you start living off of it.

  10. lol, a whole what, 10 peas? and little chips of carrot?..

look at the nutrition label its full of fat and sodium (in the seasoning) and the calories are high as well. noodles are full of carbs, too many carbs is bad.
