  1. only short term, which is after you go to the bathroom, once you eat again the weight is put back on.

  2. Yes and so does purging.

    They call it bulimia

  3. it can but it is typically used by people who have eatting disorders.  It can be very taxing on your person and medical professionals will not advise you to do this.

  4. This is true technically, but can turn into an eating disorder. I have a friends mother who become addicted to taking laxatives to keep weight off, and after a while of taking them she was no longer able to go to the bathroom regularly anymore. She was otherwise a beautiful healthy woman, and I slowly watched her become very weak and sick because of her dependency on them. I would suggest to stay away from this at all cost. The long-term health effects aren't a risk but a fact. I know its cliche but there is only one way to keep in shape and that's by maintaining a steady healthy diet and workout regimen. It doesn't have to be a miserable experience, just practice portion control when you eat, and only eat when you are feeling true hunger. Also you could do any physical activity you want. Don't just stick to one thing and think of it as the magic trick, its about maintaining a lifestyle. I personally love doing workout videos( Hip Hop Abs, Turbo Jam, Carmen Electra's Striptease, Yoga Booty). Do what you enjoy! Hope that helped some. Best of luck!

  5. proper weight loss is via proper nutrition and exercises ...laxatives are harmful for intestines...very stupid way of losing weight

  6. Yes, but that's weight that you'd be dropping in the toilet in a few hours anyway.
