Beating? I don't know what you're talking about, but it sounds kind of painful.

The beating of one's eyes?  You mean actually "hitting" them? You do that I'll tell you what it means, it means you won't be able to see for the week.  If you meant "blinking" of the eyes, that just signifies you're human, not much else.
