progressive lensed glasses cost over $400 and I'm moving out of state the middle of September. Since I'm also having Catarak surgery (last eye is 8/19), I'll get the new glasses Rx about a week before I move frm my eye surgeon. I'll ask her, but what do you all think I should do in the meantime? Wear OTC reading glasses to read? and a different pair to use the computer? These glasses are burning my eyes BAD...suggestions please?

  1. Glaucoma will not affect your glasses prescription.

However, you will likely need new glasses after the cataract surgery and the prescription for them won't be valid until about 5 weeks after surgery.  OTC readers might work, it depends on the prescription.  Your eye doctor will be able to tell you if OTC readers will work.

Glasses do not make eyes burn, ask your doctor about the burning eyes.
