Question:

I've just been made redundant from the company I work for, but i'm protected under the TUPE act ?

but I wasn't given the option of a transfer to the company that now has all the customers we had, do I have a case here or not?

  1. Forget it find yourself a new job - you are unlikley to get anywhere with TUPE


  2. it all depends, who made you redundant and for what reason, if as i suspect you where made redundant by your employer because of "economic reasons" and then the company sold on , then it would be difficult to prove TUPE, but if the new company are hiring into your job then you can claim TUPE my advice if you are not in a union go to the ACAS web site or call them they have a free phone No'  

  3. your employer should have an agreement already in place,if there's no where to send you your made redundant then  you should get more then a state package with regards to a payment,state payments are for over eighteen each years service equals one weeks pay if your over forty then a week and a half weeks pays to a maximum of twenty nine weeks
