Why have i just been charged £2.13 for 6 pints of milk?

It's gone up from £1.85 to £2.13 in the last week......wtf is going on?

When you have kids and use more than others it's rediculous.

  1. Here is the US in the Midwest, the high milk prices are blamed on the high gas prices.  It cost the producers more to get their milk to the grocer, so the consumer pays...as always.

  2. It will go up more.Rain spoiled hay, foot and mouth culling,

cost of fuel to transport it.supermarkets want more profits...

    need I go on?

  3. You should always be aware of the price before you buy.

If you're buying from a shop, the price should be displayed, and you can choose not to buy if you don't like the price.

If your milk is delivered, the milkman should advise you of any price change in advance, and if he does not, you can refuse to pay the increase.

Incidentally, because this year the weather has been too hot and too cold, and too dry and too wet, all agricultural prices have gone up.

  4. oh my godddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd...

how the h**l u gna pay ur mortgage now?

  5. at my favorite pizza joint here in america there is a sign that says

"The price for a plain slice will be slightly more to reflect the rise in dairy prices"

It sucks because i remember when a slice was $1.25 and a large pie was only 9 bucks. Eh sign of the times i guess

  6. Hiya. That's awful when you have a lot of children, because it's so good for them. But other users are also right that the farmers have been well underpaid for years for their milk. I've just bought 6 pints in Morrisons this morning for £1,96, so that's a bit better than what you had to pay. Only thing I can suggest is to shop around, because the price can vary tremendously. Good luck. xx

  7. £2.13 for 6 pints ....kin h**l js....they saw you coming mate...best buy a cow ..!!! ...kin cheaper...nuff said

  8. Farmers have been ripped off for years by this.

It is time they were paid the right price for the milk. So if it means paying more at the local shop or supermarket so be it.

How many people complain about the price of PETROL yet still use their cars regardless.

  9. luv it when bit of nan rips my boxers off

  10. Maybe the person who was serving you either risen the price to rip you off. (example if your a new customer happen's alot).Or if it was on a little white peice of paper saying the price, maybe they were just losing alot of money from bigger company's (if you live near any of them).Such as tesco's,asda, morrisons ect. They have probley got real good deals, forcing local shops to gain there money back by charging high prices.

  11. Buy vodka instead

  12. Quite possibly the supermarket is finally paying the farmers a decent wage. Farmers have been making a loss on milk for years, thanks to the likes of Tesco.

  13. It's probably something to do with this foot and mouth thing. Thet are killing the cows, therefore the price of milk will go up. It's called economics.
