When the background is black, or another dark colour, you can see it. But whenever the background turns light, it vanishes. Also, whenever i hover my cursor over it, it dissapears.

Thanks

  1. It definitely is a defective pixel. It may be completely dead if it's appearing as you explained. It's possible that some of the other colors are burned out (each pixel is made of red/blue/green). You can try rubbing that area lightly, make sure it's LIGHTLY. Press it too hard and you could crack the LCD, and that's not covered under warranty. if it's just a loose pixel, rubbing it lightly could re-seat the pixel properly and get it working again. Remember, LIGHTLY & be CAREFUL.

Else the screen you have bought is for very high professional usage (designing and gaming) which is suppose to be flawless. Better idea is to get the replacement. As per my experience i have seen this problem expanding. So why to take chance.

  2. it will take time to disappear and its a new  lcd tube so wait a month.

it can also be your graphics card , such try it on another computer to see.

  3. It's probably an LCD screen you're talking about, this occurs when you have a dead pixel.  Most LCD screens have more than one, some of them have none.  So it's up to you if you want to return it and get another one, if its not a big deal to you, then keep it.  I bought a brand new LCD from Dell and it has one dead pixel like yours, at first I noticed it, but now I have learned to live with it because it is not a big deal to me.

  4. Hi Dear,

    Congratulation on new computer,

I will say just call the support people from where you bought this machine , if the device is defective , you will get an immediate replacement.

    Good luck

  5. I would imagine it's a dead pixel these are a fact of life with TFT monitors. Generally companies allow a screen through quality control if it only has one or two. I wouldn't worry as if it is just a dead pixel they are very small and unnoticeable.

  6. Its your imagination.
