I've just got some braces, (twin block appliances fitted)... need help?

Question

First i can't speak too well, will this improve after a while and will my speech return to normal?

Also, say if i take them out for around 6 hours at a time maybe once or twice a week, will this affect my progress much? Considering i will be wearing them around 23 hours a day for the rest of the time.

i lisped loads when i got mine but you do get used to it - and yes 6 hours wil be fine .

i just lost my retainer a few months ago and found it today - slowly im making my teeth go straight again so dont worry x

Yes it will improve and speech will become normal, it must be in 24 hours a day only time to take them out is to eat and brush max 1/2 to 3/4 hour in a day, 6 hours a week is fine as long as it is not all at one go
