It's my usual salon and they've given me blonde highlights which look ok but it's made me hair really frizzy (I normally have exceptionally smooth hair, and I've been dying it for years) and like elastic on one side, also they've left alot more root than normal and it looks like I need a touch up already! From what I've seen their stand point is you can pay them to do something else to it but that's about all.

I wanted it white blonde which they said it wouldn't reach but they used a stronger bleach than normal on it anyway which has come out the same colour as I usually get, just ruined it.

How long before I can dye it again, and do you think some VO5 hot oil would do any good in the mean time? Ta :)

  1. Go to another salon and they will tell what you can use and they might even help you there.

  2. what to do: ok heres what you do....get 1 avocado, 1 egg, and 1 lemon. get the egg first and seperate the egg whites from the yolk, after that get the avocado and mash it into the bowl where the egg yolk is.once completed get the lemon and massage it on your foot (gently) for 30 seconds (makes it easier to squeeze), then mash them all up into a paste and make sure everything is smashed nice and good.

how to apply: first wash your hair in hot water or warm (preferably hot to open the cuticles) then wipe it down to make it damp. once done apply the avocado hair mask onto your hair for 20 mins. next wash it out this time use COLD water and DONT use shampoo or condittioner......

DONT ever use shampoo or conditioner******* shampoo and conditioner both have wax which is to COAT NOT repair hair when the wax is gone it makes ur hair look even crappier then before because it also takes away what was in your hair..... i hope this helps and goodluck

  3. is it bleach they use on ur hair as it sounds like if it is, its been left on too long.

trick is lots and lots of conditioning - this happened to my own hair 2 days ago.

    try:

    doing deep conditioning treatments

    use leave in conditioner

avoid using heat on ur hair

if u straighten use thermal protection spray

get ends trimmed every 4-6 weeks

    products:

shampoo - TIGI honey & oatmeal shampoo, TIGI dumb blonde shampoo, matrix biolage ultra hydrating shanpoo

conditioner - aussie 3 min miracle, TIGI dumb blonde conditioner, TIGI control freak, matrix biolage ultra hyrating balm or TIGI treat me right

leave in conditioner - boots own brand of coconut & almond oil leave in conditioner (£1.29) or aussie hair insurance

i mean the products tht they use in the salon can make a difference - in my case - i think the bleach was left on too long, but also, the shampoo/conditioner they used for cheap trade shít tht u can pick up for like £4 and get 4 litres of it lol. and no joke u couldn't detangle my hair for sh*t...so i went home and used my own stuff on it and left the conditioner on 4 an hour...and now i got good hair again.

  4. GET COMPENSATION

  5. You could go back to the salon.

If you are not happy they should sort it.

When I was at school, I had a perm (it was the 80's) it fell out within a week, so I went back and they sorted it.

You shouldn't have to pay again for them to finish off a job they seem to have half done.

Hot Oil may help but look at the package for how long you have to wait after dying. Also there is many shampoos for dyed hair. I think dove do one that is for damaged hair due to dye.

  6. Elvive shampoo, conditioner and serum is absolutely amazing - I had really rough damaged hair and its in beautiful condition now :)  I get the one in the gold bottles, you can often get it 2for1 in supermarket.

You could also try getting a deep conditioner and pop a shower cap over it and keep it on overnight - that works a treat.  If you don't want to sleep in it, slather loads on then cover your head in cling film then a towel to build up some heat - that way the hair absorbs more conditioner :)

But I would also go back to the salon and show them - explain you are not happy and they should at the very least give you a deep conditioning treatment for free, and your next visit free too.

  7. Go to a 2nd salon for an unbiased opinion.  If its different textures on one side to the other it does sound like your hair was overprocessed on one side or they took so long to apply it was left on to long on one side. As they are your regular hairdresser they would have been aware of previous dye.

Once another salon gives its verdict go back to first salon take a friend or relative if you feel they will not take you seriously.  A good salon will always put wrong a mistake for free.  You could always ask for the manufactures details as you want to complain about what its done to your hair.  The manufacturer will tell you no doubt hairdresser have processed incorrectly..... hairdresser will know this. A good salon also knows a bad hairdo it ultimately bad for business as bad news passes quicker than good.  I hope they can do something to your hair.  By the sounds of the condition though i would be very wary of more dye for quite some time.  Maybe a trip to citizens advice would be in order.

  8. You should go back to the Salon and ask for a Consultation during which you should raise your concerns. At the very least they should give you conditioning treatments to restore your hair to it's usual condition. A reputable Salon will be willing to rectify any mistakes and possibly refund your money, or offer a part refund. If you dye it again yourself you may simply make matters worse.

  9. ELASTIC!!!!!!!

this is not good it is a sign of over processed hair. how long did they leave it on and did they over lap the bleach?????

sorry they have just recked your hair, this makes me so angry!.

sadly the only way out of this is to cut it. as condtioning treatment are rendered usless in these situation, i would advise getting your money back, they will try and offer some treatment but i would get the money.

is the hair thats stretching really white? almost translucent? they have stripped out too much of the colour. bleach is observational but should never be left on for over 45min (as a rule on dark hair 1hr)
