I've just joined a yahoogroup and it has adverts between messages - but my other group doesn't. Why is this?

My first group has been running since 2000. It used to have adverts between messages but now doesn't. I thought yahoo had stopped it, but am I being rewarded for being a good group?

  1. In the past five years, I have joined good and bad groups and have never seen adverts between messages posted on the groups so I doubt your group is being awarded for being a good one.

If you are talking about messages you receive via email in the Daily Digest format, if a person is replying to someone else's post and does not crop the original post, there will be advertisements showing up that way.  Otherwise, I don't have a clue as to why that particular group's messages have adverts between messages.
