  1. yes you will get help from the DHSS i have sent a link

    http://www.dwp.gov.uk/lifeevent/benefits...

  2. you will get maternity allowance, £84 a week in the UK. contact Department of Work and Pensions, you will also need to contact Working Tax credits when the child is born because you will recieve those too

  3. Contact your local citizen's advice bureau.

  4. You should qualify for social. Ring your local job centre and they'll give you a number for advice.

  5. you need to apply for Maternity Allowance

    contact the DWP

  6. u should get maternity leave, but not statutary maternity pay, u can get pa from dwp by asking for a form called a mat B1. Ur midwife has to sign it n u fill in how muc u erant last year etc, quite easy to do but people don't tend to tell u hat ur entitled.

If this doesn't help thenI wud got to local citizens advice, thats what i did n they really helped me!

    good luck!

  7. I think you need to go to the social security as the job centre only deal with people actively seeking work, as you are not I think that's the best place, also I would contact my local C.A.B just in case.

  8. Use this link to find out exactly what you are entitled to.

Irrespective of how long you have worked for an employer, you are entitled to maternity leave.  What you probably are not entitled to is SMP (Statutory Maternity Pay) - in that case your employer would provide you with a form to help you claim maternity allowance.
