Question:

I've just taken my GCSEs. Do I get my coursework back once it's marked...?

Stupid question, but I'd really like to see my coursework again that I did over the last year! Once it's marked and we're given our grades, is there any way of retreiving it, and keeping it...?

  1. I've just finished too , i asked all my teachers wether i get assignments and portfolio's back again and they all said no i wont see them again , there either kept as examples or scrapped and never seen again.

    hope this helps.

  2. You can usually get it back. Just ask your teachers when (or if) you go back in september. I did my GCSEs last year and we got our coursework back probably about october time.

  3. I don't think you will.

I'd like to see mine again

  4. I think you can request it after you get your results.

Talk to your subject teachers about it, you are definitely entitled to it after a certain amount of time.

It's good to get back to put in portfolios too :)

  5. No you don't.  The school sends certain pieces to the Examining Board so they can check the marking scheme is consistent.

The Examining Board and the School keep it for a while then shred/bin the lot.

  6. Just ask your school.

Unless it is part of a grading challenge, then it is of no use to them, unless it is so good they would like to use it as exemplar material.

Examination material, however, is not your property by right. Just like any work done for a company is not yours, but the company's.

  7. their is. you have to make sure you let your school know so they can request it back. otherwise it will be too late and your work is lost forever.
