I've looked on all those places . under dash, in trunk. and glove compartment too..no tag with 5 numbers help

I recently got a 2002 mercury sable. had a 2000 sable and had the manual but sold it with manual.. i've checked under the drivers side of vehicle inside.. with flash light found computer box. no numbers on it. took out glove compartment as much as i could no numbers there either. .looked in every spot in the trunk still no number.. it apprears to have a white sticker but what ever was on it is so faded can't make out a thing on it.. is there any way i can find the entry code that came from the manufacturer without paying . please someone help me. I called local Ford dealer he told me to look in the above mentioned places too.. but I'm unable to find it. please anyone help help help.. thanks

  1. Try looking as you open the drivers door. On metal panel .


  2. I've read it's on the back of the locking module.   It can be found either under a rear window or in the back part of the car behind a panel.

I am probably going to ruin your day, on a 2002 Sable the key-less entry functions are programmed into the GEM module and there is no sticker with the code on it.  Unless you have some way of contacting the previous owner to see if they know the code you are most likely going to end up at the dealer so they can retrieve the code with their diagnostic computer.  Hopefully they won't rob you blind since it only take 5 minutes to do, I usually will do it for people free to build customer relations.
