I've lubricated my rubik's cube with vaseline. Can I completely clean it off and use silicone spray?

I read that silicone spray reacts with vaseline like super glue. If I completely clean it all off, would I be able to use silicone spray?

You can definitely do that!

I didn't know that I'm not suppose to lubricate my Rubik's Cube with vaseline and I just clean the whole thing off and spray silicone spray in there! And it still works fine right now!

Just wipe the cube with a used towel or something and then go to the sink to wash it off! Be sure to dry everything up. Make 100% sure there's no water in the cube and but the cube back together. Then spray the silicone spray!
