...drink a bottle of whiskey? Even though I've never drank before? What about a pint of guinness?

I know I should probably pace myself and not drink too much at first, but exactly how much?

I'm 21 and never felt like drinking before but now I do want to, so how much? I don't want to get drunk, just want to enjoy a social drink.

  1. don't drink the bottle of whiskey! way too much even for someone who has had a drink before! start off with a nice light beer or alco-pop, nothing too high in alcohol content and then when you see how that effects you, you can decide wether or not to try spirits!  bottoms up!!

  2. It depends in how your organism reacts to alcoholics...

  3. Haha-I too was an alcohol virgin on my 21ST birthday, and my roommate promised to get me "wasted," which made me nervous, 'cause I was clearly not a "wasted" type of girl. I wound up having a margarita and two shots of tequila on the side, which gave me a buzz, but not drunk. I would recommend that you do not drink the whole bottle of whiskey, but just drink it causally and slowly so that you can better judge how the alcohol is affecting you (this is sort of like eating slowly so you can tell when you aren't hungry). Generally, have whatever a more alcoxperienced person recommends at first, since it is a little difficult to hit on what you like immediately.

  4. forget the bottle of whiskey, it would probably kill you, try a white wine spritzer its light and tastes nice but you can still get drunk on it. be sensible!

  5. people who have never drank before get drunk quicker and easier!!

so if you are starting to drink you should definitely pace yourself! You shoul probably start with beer.. it would be better because for beer you need an acquired taste and it takes some getting used to so you will be less likely to drink a lot of it and more likely to drink it slow

    hope i helped... :)

  6. It is not smart to start binge drinking. If you have done without up to now i wouldnt recommend you starting, but if you must, a couple of lagers would be a better start for you. Keep off the hard stuff if you possibly can

  7. stick with the Guinness, then pepper in a few shots of whiskey.

  8. A bottle will kill you.  Whiskey has about 10 to 20 times the alcohol of beer, generally.

Have a pint, drink it SLOW, and drink water between drinks.

  9. Drinking an entire bottle 750 ml of whiskey in a short period of time will likely either kill you or put you into a coma through alcohol poisoning.  Having a shot or two over the course of a few hours is a better idea, at least until you know how quickly alcohol can affect the body.

A pint of Guinness is a more reasonable alternative.  Try one to start with just in case you do not like the type of beer (dry stout) that Guinness is classified as.  Also, you might not like the effects that alcohol will have on your body.  Guinness is a perfect beer for socializing, as its low alcohol content allows it to be consumed slowly at the rate of a pint per hour over the course of an evening.  You should probably stop after your second, at least the first couple of times you have it.

Regardless of how much alcohol you do end up drinking, make certain that you have a designated driver, as even sessionable beers will get you drunk.

  10. yes

one glass should be enough for you

  11. Obviously don't drink the whisky also i wouldn't advise you to drink guiness either because its quite thick an could make you feel sick plus you might not enjoy the beer cos it can taste bitter if yr not used to it so if i was you try out a sweet glass of wine or two with a meal :)

Also again if you ever decide to have a few drinks make sure you eat beforehand..

  12. If you drink an entire bottle of whiskey, you will get alcohol poisoning and end up in the hospital.  You should only drink as much as you feel like you can handle.  Start with a beer, and drink slowly.  If you start to feel sick, stop drinking.  Make sure you have food in your stomach before you start drinking.  Enjoy your drinks!

  13. A bottle of whiskey and you'll probably end up in the emergency room or kneeling to the porcelain gods, depending on weight.

Buy a 6 pack and drink a few beers and you should be good, if your a bigger guy go for a 12 pack and drink untill your good.

  14. if you drink a bottle of whiskey and have never drank before then most likely you will puke....and i promise you will be miserable.....pace yourself on the whiskey and dont try to drink a bottle....h**l i have been drinking liquor for 18 years and i would be trashed off a bottle of whiskey and im a regular social drinker (at least 3 times a week)....a pint of guiness would be your best bet....see how it makes you feel and whatever you do, until you get used to drinking do not mix beer and liquor.....theres and old saying that goes something like "beer before liquor, never been sicker ~ liquor before beer, youre in the clear"....there really is no scientific truth to this but for a beginner i believe i would stick to beer...plus with a bottle of whiskey you run the risk of alcohol poisoning

  15. just have 3 / 4 pints beer / larger to start with, dont bolt it down take it slowly,  stop there,  then next time do same again untill you get used to it,  leave the strong stuff alone whisky / brandy / vodka

  16. hard **** gets you drunk quit and i would probly take 2,3,4,5 shots or less it depends on your age and weight

  17. Bottle of whiskey hahahahahahahaha....

Get a West Coast Cooler m8...

They're Yum and hve lyk very little alcohol
