I've never had a pedicure, what can I expect on my first visit?

I'm a little embarrassed to go and have a pedicure, I mean just cause I've never been and my feet are ok, I keep them clean moisturized, polished but it's just not the same as having a professional pedicure. Plus how often should I go?

  1. I went for the first time in June. I loved it! At the place I went to, I got a leg massage! (from a s**y azn =) haha but they just like put ur feet in a water massager thing and then like clip the nails if they have to and then paint! it's funn. I haven't been since cause I haven't had enough $$ lately but I wanna go again!

  2. ah! Your first pedi! I get one once a month because i love them so much. Usually they ask you to take off your shoes (wear flip flops!) and ask you to get in this big comfy looking chair. Make sure you try and grab a magazine that you'll enjoy reading while you're getting pampered. They'll put your feet in warmish water. Tell them if it's too hot, forget about being modest/ poliete for the moment because you want to enjoy it, & you'll enjoy it more if your feet arent burning off. At the place i go to, they soak your feet then cut your nails and scrub your feet, then apply some kind of sea salt on your legs, the then wash it off, then they start painting away. Just relax and enjoy yourself. Make sure you dont get anything boring like a french pedicure or black. Try something bright or a color you like. Odds are you'll enjoy your experince and remember it and have more to come (ones never enough!).

p.s.- tell me what happened and what you thought of it!

    have fun!

  3. First they usually soak your feet in the tub for about five minutes. Then they start to clip your toe nails and cuticles. Also smooth the skin underneath your feet by sanding them with a emory board. Massage lotion on your feet and on your calves. After all of that is done they will start painting your toe nails.
