  1. First, because there's no such thing. Anyone who called it a saga to you was lying THROUGH THEIR TEETH.

    It is a series.

Calling a romance between a self-absorbed doormat and an emotionally abusive stalker a saga is a disgrace to all the real sagas out there.

There's no plot to it. Bella loves Edward. Edward loves Bella. Bella cooks dinner. Bella drown in depression. Bella hurts everyone around her. Everyone around her, regardless of that, worships the ground she walks on. New vampires come out of nowhere and want to kill her.

    I've read better fan fictions.

You're so lucky to never have heard of them.

And no, you don't need to get out more if it's just to find out about this terrible series. Consider yourself lucky.

  2. I've never read them myself and I was mildly intrigued, but the feedback has been largely negative so I might not bother! Have you read and Darren Shan? They are a good yarn.

  3. I agree with the first person, but here is a summary of the first book:

Okay, ready? So it's about this girl whose irresponsible and child-like mother abandons her for a minor-league baseball player who is ten years younger then her. Said girl then goes to live with her cop father in a town in the middle of nowhere in Washington. She basically takes care of him because apparently even though he was alone for sixteen years he is unable to take care of himself. Then, she goes to school, and even though she was considered ugly in her old school, she is apparently gorgeous in Washington. She continues to be mildly self-sufficient until she meets this boy who appears to hate her. Naturally, she falls deeply "in love" with him because (and only because) he is gorgeous (because who doesn't want a guy who hates you, right?). SURPRISE! The aforementioned boy just happens to be a vampire who wants to suck her blood! She becomes totally dependent on him and ceases to be able to think, act, or take care of herself, and she ceases to exist as an individual, rather she is "Edward's girlfriend" from that point on. He is very stalkerish and creepily controlling and overbearing, going as far as to slash her tires to make sure she doesn't go anywhere, but she doesn't seem to mind, because she still "loves" him. Somehow, he ends up "in love" with her too (presumably because she smells good), and they go all gushy love scene. Then some random other vampires decide they would like to kill her (because she smells good), so they try, and of course fail, because if they succeeded that would be several million dollars down the drain now wouldn't it- no opportunity for a sequel, which she decided to make three of.

The author then makes statements about vampires and goes back on them later in the books, teaches girls that, while it is not okay to get married in high school, it is perfectly acceptable to get married the day after, get pregnant a few days later, have an overbearing and abusive boyfriend, be a nymphomaniac/satyrist or a pedophile, and that it is perfectly okay to attempt suicide should that abusive satyrist boyfriend ever attempt to leave you.

They're badly written, have plot holes as big as oceans, and are all about how "hot" the vampire is.  My advice?  Don't waste your time or money.

  4. Its about a girl names Bella Swan who moves to Forks, a relaly rainy place in Washington.

There, she meets a family of really pretty pale people. but something about them isn't ordinary.

she gets to know him well, and she becomes friends with him.

    blurb:

"About three things i was almost absolutly sure about Edward Cullen.

    1.) he was a vampire.

2.) there was a part of him, and i din't know how dominate that part might be, that thirsted for my blood.

3.) i was irrevocably in lvoe with him.

hope ths helps. its actually pretty good. :]

  5. ok ok its a addicting book. good characterization. that's why people like it. the story is good but sappy. i love that book

  6. It's a series of books about a girl, Bella, who falls in love with a vampire, Edward.

It's a good series, but not as good as Harry Potter...

  7. Twilight is a teen romance series about Bella Swan, who moves to a rainy town in Washington state and meets a handsome-beyond-all-belief vampire named Edward Cullen.  They fall in love, but of course nothing is simple (otherwise there wouldn't be one book, much less four).  You'll see Edward's rival for Bella's love starting more in the second book.  His name is Jacob Black, and he's by far my favorite. ^^

    The books in order are:

    Twilight

    New Moon

    Eclipse

    Breaking Dawn

The books are poorly written, but they can still be interesting.  It really differs from person-to-person on whether or not they like it.

  8. Well it's about these vampires and this girl called Bella and theres loads of things that happens. Don't want to give spoilers so it's not just about romance between a vampire and a human there are loads of different things going on it's just really good. Don't listen to those people who are saying it's bad because if they thought the first one was SO bad, why did they buy the other three and read them (which they have obviously done). And I'm 14 and I don't like it because Edward or Jacob are "hot" or whatever because I don't see how you can fall in love or something with a fictional character in a book and think they are "hot". It's one of my favourite books anyway I love the saga you should read it.

  9. Bella, a human, is in love with this guy named Edward. In the latter part of the first book she finds out that he is a vampire. And that she, his true love and vice versa, has the sweetest smelling blood any vampire would want to take a gulp of. It's like a siren singing directly to your heart. But their love for each other is so profound that not even the want for her blood is gonna keep them apart.

That's pretty much the main plot, but a lot of other things are happening around them. A love triangle is quickly formed.

I'll be honest, the series didn't suck. But the last book of the series did. It's one of the shittiest endings, in my opinion. You might feel like your anticipation to finish the series will be worth nothing, but you'll definitely be happy that you finished it anyway. I hope you enjoy the book, I know I wanted to. :]

    ♥Mizu.

  10. About a month and a half ago I was in the same boat.  I kept seeing people on here posting stuff about Twilight, so I finally broke down and read the books.  And quickly became a Twilight addict.

The book Twilight is part of series, aptly named the Twilight Saga.  The books are Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn.

Twilight is about a high school girl named Bella who moves to the small, rainy town of Forks, Washington to live with her dad after her mom gets remarried.  There, she meets a guy named Edward Cullen.  She finds herself drawn to him and soon discovers he is a vampire.  As she begins to fall in love with him she realizes the dangers of being so closely involved with the vampire world.

Forgive my conjecture, but I know it sounds a little corny and not thoroughly thought out, and in some ways it is.  But for some reason there is something about the books that draws people in and keeps them reading the books over and over again.  They're not great pieces of literature, but I like them.

  11. It's a love story between a human girl and a mysterious vampire. It is basically about the obstacles that stand in their way before they can truly be happy.

It is a very good series and I would definitely recommend it.

  12. I wish I knew nothing about the Twilight Saga.

You are a very lucky person.

Do not read the series, you will regret it.

    Waste of time and money

  13. Definition of saga:

1 : a prose narrative recorded in Iceland in the 12th and 13th centuries of historic or legendary figures and events of the heroic age of Norway and Iceland

2 : a modern heroic narrative resembling the Icelandic saga

    3 : a long detailed account <a saga of the Old South>

Sounds like a saga to me..... Especially with the LONG account part.

Anyway, with that said, they aren't that great. They're good, but nothing special. While the first book is really good and the third is okay, the second and fourth aren't. They're not written very well, and the characters aren't great, and the story is very unbelievable. (Yes, I know it's about vampires and werewolves, but there still must be an element of believability and consistency to it).

So, basically, I wouldn't suggest them to you. Well, I might suggest TWILIGHT, but not the other three.

  14. omg yo!

lol twilight is the current book to read for teens:] its about a vampire boy and a girl who's new in a town called forks :]

    love story

  15. be happy you've never heard of it.

the main character is a whiny, selfish teen girl whose life revolves around an abusive but totally hot (so u no, it doesnt matter) vamp

    full of plotholes

    flat characters

    poor writing

    do i recommend it?

    h**l no.

    save yourself!

(oh, read sarah dessen -- she has some amazing stories!)

  16. OMG WHAT PLANET HAVE U LIVED ON?

    lol jk

twilight is amazing deffenatly worth time reading

its about a vampire(edward) and a human(bella) falling in love, not saying anything else :)

  17. it's your choice whetever you will buy the books or not....

personally i didn't like the whole series , they are overrated and they didn't deserve the fame they get...

the story is not original , the characters are not realistic , enough said ...

    i said what's on my mind ... it's up to you ;D

    xx

  18. the Twilight saga is a 4-book series following the adventures of an ordinary 17-year-old girl named Bella Swan. It's largely a romance series, with exciting endings and lots of plot twists. Twilight starts out with Bella moving from Phoenix to Fork, WA and meeting the s**y vampire Edward, after which she learns that some myths are more than fantasy.

I read all 4 (Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn), and really enjoyed them. Stephenie Meyer (the author) does an exceptional job pulling you into the story. The target audience is teenage girls, but i know quite a few adults and some boys who enjoy the series.

  19. Consider yourself lucky.

It is the story of a whiny girl who moves to a new town, and everyone at her new school worships her despite the fact that she despises them all in spite of their attempts to be hospitable, and every guy there falls all over her, but she chooses the most attractive guy who is also a vampire, but not really because he only eats animals, and he sparkles for some reason. They fall in love after one word together, and are devoid of any kind of chemistry or personality (although the personality thing kind of goes for all the other characters too). The plot sticks to the last 30 pages of the book, and the entire thing is written like a 12 year old girl fanfiction. This is made even more obvious by the fact that almost every character is a Mary Sue.

I only read the first book in the series, and I barely made it through that one because the writing was so awful and the story so cheesy. From what I have heard they only get worse. All of them really send bad messages as well, considering that the books are mainly read by 13 year old girls, but I can't tell you what that is because you said you didn't want spoilers.

  20. Me neither, but I just looked them up and apparently they're for 'young adults' (read teens).....  I think I'll stick with the classics :)

  21. is a vampire/werewolves/human love triangle story...kind of..

if your not 13,14,15 and maybe even 16. you might not drool over the book and love it. but you might see understand the real concept of the book and not just that there are 2 hot guys fighting over a girl

is pretty good. some people say is not well written but since i don't even know how to spell myself , i don't know about that.

    is fiction. and is entertaining

    i like it.

  22. If you are a guy than this is not for you.

It's about a human girl who falls in love with a vampire.

    It's pretty good...

  23. High School Vampire/Human Romance. That' pretty much sums it up. It's a good read for the younger generation, because it quite badly written more young people can understand it.

  24. read it..it's the best series ever.

basically it's about a girl named Bella in highschool who meets a vampire named edward. they fall in love, and A LOT happens. lol
