I've never met my father and now he's coming out of prison! But I want to. HELP!

Question

I'm 15 now and I have never met my father! I want to but my mom keeps me from him. When she was pregnant he got into some trouble with the law. A burglary or something I've never been told the whole story only bits and pieces. Lately I've been hearing about him coming out of prison and my mom wanting a divorce. My mom has been crying a lot she seems confused. Yesterday I asked her if I could meet him and she said no. I don't know what to do. I want to meet him. Please give me some advise.

wait until you hear the full story to meet but heck hes your father you have a right to meet him if you want to after 15 years!

thats tough ,, got to say if i were you i'd want to meet him too

try to get some info out of other realatives, ones that might know what happend around the time you were born, might give you some insight on why your mother is so against it

If he did 15 years it was an armed robbery.  He sounds dangerous.  Listen to mom.
