I'm just curious to know is such a thing possible! I'm pretty quick, I run 60m dash in 7.01 secs, I'm in really good shape too. My broad leap is 2.65m and my vertical leap is 80cm. I'm really experienced at catching as we mess around with an "american football" somedays after school and I used to play Irish football which is nothing like american football but involves more catching. I completely understand the rules. I'm Irish and I'm 17.

  1. You probably just need to go to a college, (I'd suggest a division 2 or 3) and just try out and hope for the best

  2. Try D2 bud.

  3. You could go to Notre Dame and be one of the Fighting Irish!

  4. Please translate measurements to not metric

  5. It sounds like your a Pretty good athlete.   Try going to a Ncaa div 2 or 3 school and walking on.   If your a good athlete, they might be willing to work with you.   Most college football players have been playing the game and understand the basics of tackling, and blocking, and such for at least 3 or 4 years when they enter college, so you'd be well behind on the basic skills.   But years of training can hardly make up for pure athletic talent.  Stay in tip top shape, Practice running as much as possible, both short sprints and long distances, and work out in the weight room as often as possible and you might have a chance.

Just an idea, do you play soccer any at all?  You might stand a good chance at becoming a kicker at a small school if you can kick field goals, and all you'd really need to learn how is a football and a kicking tee.   There are books and videos available to teach you how to kick fieldgoals.

When I was in highschool, we had a German Foreign exchange student come to our school one year.   When he arrived, he had never touched an american football in his life, but wanted to try.  He was a soccer player.   By the end of the season he set a national highschool record for the most PAT's in a season, and kicked a 55 yard fieldgoal during practice at the Louisiana Superdome before the Louisiana state championship game.
