  1. Volley ball is tricky, but not hard.

one way to warm up your arm is to bounce the ball super hard on the ground (with someone else back and forth)

and if you have strong legs thats another plus!

because then you can jump really high

and another thing is, if there are no tryouts,

then that just means there gonna teach you alot of stuff!

volleyball is mainly about skills and technique!

just work hard and practice alot!

And when you bump dont hit the ball on your fists!!!!!

    lol

    Dont give up!

Ask your friend if she can help you with stuff!

  2. Well volleyball isn't hard...it is a team sport.  It took me quite awhile to realize that I was good in single sports because my long distance judgement wasn't good...I could never judge just "where" the ball was...but I could do gymnastics, skate, etc....So it may or may not be the game for you....you do have to judge where the ball is coming so you can respond to it.

I could play volleyball, but was never a master at it.   You will probably do fine, and by trying can determine if it is the sport for you.  If not, try some others like golf, or tennis, etc.  Everyone isn't good at the same thing.

Get someone to bat the ball back and forth over the net, so you can practice returning it.  Your friend could probably help you.  many parks have nets you can check out and put up to practice.

  3. just practice hitting the ball with a friend and you will eventually get better. just try out all the positions and you will get the hang of it in 2 days max!!

    good luck! =]

  4. when i started volleyball i sucked sooooo bad but with a lot of practice i got better and i wasn't warming up the bench as much...lol...i am really uncoordinated too...volleyball isn't as hard as basketball cuz u don't have to remember any plays...when i was playing the teacher said that u should ALL WAYS call the ball when u KNOW that u r gonna get the ball...and when the girls would hit the ball...welll TRY to hit the ball they wouldn't look so remember to look when you are gonna hit the ball...and volleyball is really fun and i am sure u will like it...u r a really good friend if u would do that

  5. Footwork Footwork Footwork... did I mention FOOTWORK. Go and get a volleyball and look some guides up on how to play bump and set on to a wall until you get it right. since your friend wants you to play invite her over and you guys can bump ans set to each other a KAJILLION times. Vball is not just something you learn over night REMEMBER practice doesnt make perfect it makes PERMANENT so make sure you practice correctly  GOOD LUCK!

  6. volley ball

    is fun

    i play it

    just keep your feet moving

    your hand moving fast

    and your eyes working faster

    your gonna do great

    just try

  7. It's a struggle when you've had no experience in a sport and wan't to become good at it. Some school's teams can be hard to get into. But it doesn't mean their impossible to get into. To be unathletic or uncoordinated can affect the way you play. Or even try to play. There may not be a lot of ways to become more athletic in just a few weeks, but to improve volleyball skills, there may be some solutions. I started playing volleyball about 4 years ago. I was new like you, and I was so afraid of not being as good. But look, not everyone's perfect at the game. So some tips to improve your skills, try serving, or setting against a wall of your house (with parent's permission.) Do it about 50 times. Every day. It may seem like a lot. But, trust me, you'll see an improvement. Volleyball can be a tough sport, you not only have to be good, but you also have to know the rules, basics, skills, etc. Volleyball isn't hard once you know how to play.To warm up, just do the things I said before, also do some stretches. If your school team is just a joining system, then ask some friends with experiece to help you. If it's a trying out system, like my school, you may need a little more help. Because school teams can be pretty hard to get into. My main advice is just to practice, practice, and practice. The more you do it, the better you'll become :) Hope I helped.

  8. don't be scared because volleyball is not too hard.....you just need to practice well because practice makes perfect........i also experienced what your experiencing now.........i'm scared the first time i joined playing volleyball but when i started practicing with my teammates i realize that volleyball is an exciting sport............so don't be scared..........start having your exercise everyday so that you can prepare yourself on your training..................gudluck!!!!!!!...
