  1. You can get pregnant very fast or it may take a while I was on ortho novum 777 and stopped taking them and got pregnant right away. However mine ended up a blighted ovum so anything is possible good luck

  2. If you took them for only a month, it may not affect you. But it really depends on how your body took to the BCPs.

I was on Ortho tryciclen lo for about 5 months and stopped them 5/31/08 and am still not pregnant [not actively TTC though]

  3. Generally, it takes 3 months for the body to regulate and start ovulating and having regular periods again.  Of course, this is just general, as it is possible for some women to get pregnant right away.  It is recommended, however, to use another form of b/c (condoms, etc) for the first 3 months off of b/c pills, to make sure it is completely out of your system and give your baby the best and healthiest chance.

By the way, I think you meant that you took your last pill on July 14th.  If you really meant Aug. 14th, then you've only been off the pill for 4 days.

EDIT: I read another answer and I'm a bit confused.  Do you mean that you only took the pills for one month or do you mean that you stopped taking them just one month ago?  If you only took them for one cycle (one month), then they really shouldn't affect your cycle's too much, although it might take another month for you to be completely regular again.

  4. Since you took them for less than a month, you should be able to start trying after your next period.  Birth control pills are used sometimes in fertility treatments for short periods of time, and do not prevent pregnancy in that case.  You actually could get pregnant this cycle since birth control takes a full month to protect you from pregnancy completely, however you will be unable to use a fertility monitor that detects estrogen (ClearBlue Fertility Monitor, ovulation microscope).  The best thing to do is to gather the information and devices you wish to use this month to track your cycle and start next month when you get your period (cycle day 1).
