I'd like to understand what the different attraction is. I would think football is football.

  1. You have observed wrong.  I love both.  Try not to fail so hard next time.

  2. I like both, but prefer the NFL because it is the best of the best.  The players are smarter on both sides of the ball.  It is a bit more evenly matched that way.  College football scores can get crazy because the opposing talent is not up to par.

Thumbs up to those who agree.

  3. Becuase you haven't met enough fans. Also football is not football. That is like saying instead of going to the Cowboys Steelers game, why don't we just stay home and watch re runs of the Pop Warner championship game. To put it in perspective, would you rather go meet Snoop Dogg or that homeless guy who sleeps in an alley way behind the movie theaters, because a man is a man, right?

Thumbs up for all who agree

  4. Personally, I prefer college ball. The guys just seem to play with more passion. It's still about the game & not about money.

    That's just me though.

  5. I like both.

I've been to both college games (Go USC) and nfl games (Go Cowboys).

  6. there's to much to remember.  Football is not the only sport out there.

  7. Thats not trrue at all...

i love both... College, NFL and the future UFL!!!

    i love FOOTBALL!!!

  8. I like both.

  9. I agree, people who watch College ball dont like NFL because they feel the players are overpaid and spoiled.  They like college because their are young people who play for the love of the game and not for money. Eventually they will end up getting money but its cool to see them playing to reach a goal in life.  People who watch NFL like it because its more up to speed and way harder hits, the NFL are the best of the best so when you have all the best than its going to be crazy to watch.  I prefer NFL over college, its more exciting in my opinion.

  10. Fans of the college game enjoy the school spirit aspect of the games.

They like the fact the players aren't paid (offically) and they are pulling together to represent their school and in some cases their entire state.

It's where high school students can beat the odds and eperience the thrill of playing in bigger stadiums against better players.

Good college teams will dominate their opponents, and their fans will stay glued to the TV screen until the end of every 55-3 victory, so they can play the school song and wave the college banners.

Pro football players love the competition and hype of the games. They may be high paid, but the players are the BEST most athletic players in the world.

Pro football pits city vs city and 90% of the games are close.

It doesn't matter if one team is up by 21 points, because the team that's behind has the ability to come back.

The players aren't handcuffed by the rules of the college games, and they can be more flamboyant and cocky.

The drama of sports agents, trades, free agency, and off field activities of the players adds to the attraction.

There is also a contrast in the fans.

If you go to a college game, the pre game is filled with the college school band, the cheerleaders, and crowds of fans wearing their college's apparel. The school song plays and a sense of comrodory fills all of the fans before they join together to root for their team and the pride of the school.

Pro games, by contrast, have a much more flamboyant and aggressive fan base. They dress in wild costumes and treat the game as a Sunday afternoon war pitted against a rival city who has invaded their town.

Both fans can be very passionate about their teams, but the basis of their enthusiasm comes from different places.

I like both. But, if I am watching a college game, and it's getting to be a 55-3 blowout, you can bet I am going to change the chanel to watch a much closer game.

    But that's just me.

  11. I like both, but I find college ball more exciting. There are a lot more teams and a lot more competition.

  12. Football is football but there is a difference, first you have to go to a college game and a pro game in the college game you will see a different side of fans (mostly college kids). In the NFL you will mostly see older people going with kids and stuff. But everyone who likes NFL football usually likes college.

  13. There are a lot of variations between the two.  Sort of like college and the NBA, lots of differences and not all people are fans of both.  Hard to pinpoint but, if you watch enough of both, you will pick out the differences.

  14. I love both. How could you not. If you are a NFL fan, you are always watching the college games, hoping that guy can be on your NFL team some day.

  15. I love both but I really only got into college football about 8-9 years ago. Been an NFL fan since birth.

  16. I like both but would rather watch an NFL game than college.  Some of the previous answers said that college athletes play harder because they are playing with passion instead of for money.  That might have been true up unitl the 1980's.  After that the high school athletes that are looking to play ball in college are playing for one thing, Money.  It may still be hidden but most college stars are making a little sumpin sumpin on the side based on performance.  And in the back of their heads they are driven by the  Millions that they will make in the NFL.  I believe the NFL players actually have more passion.  They are already their they made it.  They dont have to worry about making money its already there. They just need to have a good time spendin their millions and playing football.

  17. Most like both, but people who like the NFL better like the better quality of football. People who like college football better like the atmosphere and the fans.
