American Airlines. i got the ticket in May before they changed the rules of having to pay for each bagage that you dont check. SO, do have still have to pay for each bagage i dont check? my flight is in July.

  1. I think that you may be a little confused. They charge for each bag that you check - not each bag that you don't check as stated in your question. You can still take one carry-on bag free as long as it fits in an overhead bin or under a seat. You can also take an additional small personal item such as a purse or laptop computer for free. Anything else has to be checked.

    If you bought the tickets on or after May 12 but before June 15, you can check one bag free. The second bag is $25 each way.  There are extra charges for all bags that are overweight or oversized. The limits are on American's website.

    The website is unclear about tickets purchased before May 12. Presumably, you can still check two bags for free as long as they are within the size and weight limit. That was the old policy.
