  1. i had really bad anxiety in january and i went to talk to my doctor about it after trying everything everyone else suggested and he put me on mild beta blockers just for a month just long enough to calm down and to release that it wasn't that bad then i went back to see him and we had a chat. i still get that tension when your neck goes and then it runs to your chest through your muscles but now i know what it is and i just let go off it and i relax again. i must say before this i would have never gone to the  doctor for anxiety but a lecturer saw the problem and told me what to do and it worked for me. good luck feel free to email for more info

  2. try to make med's your last resort, you could go talk to a psychiatrist or just try deep breathing when you start to have these panic attacks. i know how you feel i have recently overcome my anxiety.

  3. Cut down on caffeine.

    Seriously caffeine heightens anxiety.

  4. chill out:)

  5. Learn some breathing and relaxation techniques, look them  up online. Sounds mad but if you can get it right, it really helps.

Meds can help too, see your doc, they can prescribe beta blockers which slow your heart rate on an as you need it basis.

  6. Ask your self 'what is the worst case scenario',

Ask yourself, 'will it kill anyone, If the answer is no, then its not worth worrying about.

I have suffered from anxiety to, but when i get panicky now, i just think , its not going to kill anyone, then i stop panicing

  7. one thing to remember when having panic attacks is that it will pass, you won't die from it!!! when you start feeling anxious, change your breathing, make it slower. accept that you feel anxious, try to figure out why u are anxious, see if u can do something about it. try to distract urself, doing something, until your anxiety passes.

anxiety is often caused by our thinking, u may have what-if thoughts. try 2 think positively and realistically. often negative thoughts and what-if thinking can cause anxiety. change your thinking, change your world.

    do exercise, eat healthily

  8. My sister suffers from anxiety attacks and she was advised form her doctor to read a book aloud or talk aloud as this helps to control the breathing and take you mind off of things. Try it. I hope it works as its controlled my sisters. She usually calls me and we just talk rubbish till she feels better.

  9. Try Bach Rescue Remedy. I put a few drops on my tongue whenever I'm feeling panicky or if I'm about to be faced with a situation that I know will make me anxious... It probably wouldn't work for severe anxiety but it's worth a try... xx
