I've recorded something onto a TDK DVD-R 4x and I was wondering how I could get that onto my computer as a mp4

I've recorded something onto a TDK DVD-R 4x and I was wondering how I could get that onto my computer as a mp4 so I could upload it onto youtube. I also have a DVD+R recorder in my house that I could use if for whatever reason the DVD-R doesn't work. Is there a program I could get to read it? A driver or something?
