I've removed Antivirus 2008, but my display is still blue. How do I change it back?

My control panel no longer includes the display option since I've been attacked with the evil, vicious virus. My screen is just blue, like the faux security risk background that came when I got the virus. Everything else seems ok with my laptop, but i cant change the display settings or open folders by double clicking; they just search and folder options only have the search function as an option. Thanks, it's really bugging me! :)

This will take about an hour.

Switch off System Restore - you can re-start it if you choose to when your computer is clean.

Install the free version of SUPERantispyware http://superantispyware.com Update it and run a full scan.

Install ccleaner http://ccleaner.com - run the ccleaner and the registry scans and delete what they find but repeat the registry one until nothing is detected.

    Reboot and job done.
