  1. Just to conform what others have said... NO!

Quite apart from the import duty (which would probably kill any price advantage) these sets are designed to run off 110V, NOT the 220V supply of the UK.  You'd need a hefty mains transformer... (expensive!)

Then there's the fact that the tuners in the set are designed for different frequencies/standards. And finally the point that American sets are based around the NTSC signal standard, European sets around PAL.....

It just ain't gonna work..... Sorry.

  2. No.

    U.K. - 230v.  U.S.A. - 110v

    U.K. - 50Hz.  U.S.A. - 60Hz

    U.K. - PAL.  U.S.A. - NTSC

Shipping costs, import duty, V.A.T. and brokerage fees would make the TV just as expensive as buying it over here, anyway.

  3. yes they all work

  4. No, apart from different broadcasting systems, America runs on 110 volts.

  5. The USA they use 120 Volts at 60Hz any appliance that is for use in America and Japan will provide a very nice fireworks display.

There video's use a different format to the UK.

    THE ANSWER IS NO.
