I've seen many examples of the pringles antenna and the cantenna, this makes me wonder if ...?

... the same can be done for my Pinnacle PCTV Hybrid TV tuner? It comes with a mini antenna but the signal it receives totally sucks. can i attatch it to a tin can and get better TV reception?

Absolutely! I strongly recommend experimenting with the cantenna for hd digital reception too - I'm using my cheapest antennas for perfect reception now - even though I mainly use the hd satellite receiver.
