  1. Any movement more than sitting here on YA is good exercise! I play Wii tennis also, that and boxing are pretty good workouts if you let yourself get into it.

  2. Have fun and stay fit ! Good Luck :)

  3. It's definitely great exercise, it teaches about topsin, backhands and forehands. It's not something to carry with you when you want to play real tennis, real tennis is about, footwork, speed, mental toughness, and being able to think quickly on your feet. Besides, the scoring in tennis takes a little bit longer than how they do it on that game, lol. It's still fun and great exercise, but I wouldn't take the aspect of that game with me in a real tennis match.

  4. no, im sorry but wii tennis wont help you with real tennis. maybe the getting in shape part will though! with wii tennis your simply swinging a clicker in random motions. in real tennis, you have to have swing a little differently to be able to aim a shot over the net. Wii will teach you how to keep score though!! good luck! an di think you should take up tennis because its a lot of fun!

  5. A little bit. Wii tennis gets you accustomed to the idea of spin, and basically how they are induced.

However, hitting a real ball requires a vastly different motion and skillset from playing the Wii. I know some really good players on the Wii who have gotten to know how to move the motion sensor around, and they wind up just flicking the controller to generate some crazy shots.

In real world you can't do that =)

  6. it might just help you,you go through the motions of playing tennis.

  7. its a good exercise! have fun!

  8. I play it too, but I suck at it so far. Exercise of any kind is good. Wii Tennis is not a truly aerobic exercise but it is exercise. To loose weight stay with a balanced diet just in small portions. Lay off the red meat, sweets, and fats (except for occasional treats as a reward for accomplishing a goal). For a truly beneficial exercise, try swimming, rowing, running, bike riding ( but you need to pedal hard) or work out on a treadmill or stationary bike.

Good Luck, "You can make it if you try" I love that song.

  9. Yup, tennis will drain a lot of fat & will keep ya fit. it's now a cardio game coz' all your body parts are moving plus breathing exercise is to the max. It's a complete exercise module 1 can have
