I've had irritation in my ear for years, ever since i was young.

I used to use q-tips many times during a week.

Although i try not to use them now, its so hard to resist with the itching.

I fin dit hard to hear people sometimes but when i went to see an audiologist, he said everything is ok.

I dont know if the q-tips have done anything to my ears since then, or maybe if the q-tips are a problem but i was wonder, can using baby oil in my ears maybe make things better?

Can it clean out my ear or help repair any damage?

  1. Sticking q-tips in your ear isn't the best thing. You push the wax up against the ear drum and that will cause the hearing difference. Q-tips are for the outer ear only. You might need to see the doctor to have them break up the wax and irregate your ear. I have done the same thing before.

  2. I honestly don't think baby oil will do anything, but good luck!

  3. Go to your local pharmacy/supermarket and look for ear wax drops.  They do a wonderful drop of breaking up the wax -safely-.  Use the drops just before you hop in the shower.

The itching is probably caused from habit.  The more you scratch, the more it itches.  This is a behavioral thing.  The next time you want to stick a q-tip in your ear, do something else instead.  Be consistent.
