It was a Tuesday
You dropped your suitcase by my house
It was left unattended in the closet
I had no intentions and neither did you
Up against a wall you held me
Softly whispered your intentions in my ear
I flooded in my own blood
Frightening rebellion
Your shoes are too big for me
No matter how I try
I’m smaller than you
Smaller in body and mind
Put away my bruises and cuts
I put them in your suitcase
6 weeks later and it’s full
All your dirty cast-offs
Fresh suitcase, fresh mind set
Like usual you knock
Knock the door, knock me
The hallway is a dreaded place
It’s there you go
You’ve smashed everything else
Smashed my insides and smashed my furniture
All that’s left is your memory
It’s Thursday today
You took the old suitcase full of your mess
Emptied it in the river
It swims with the fish
How long will it be ‘till you empty me
Tip me upside down shake me in my shoes
Smile sweetly, kiss my lips
Then cast me off into that river
