I AM A MALAYSIAN LIVING IN UK. MY QUESTION IS MY PASSPOT IS EXPIRING JUNE 09.

THE THING IS BEING MARRIED TO A FRENCH MAN THAT MEANS BEING A EU FAMILY MEMBER I HAVE ALSO GIVEN UK ENTRY VISA FOR ANOTHER 5 YEARS.MY UK VISA IS NOT EXPIRING TILL 2010. DO I HAVE TO RENEW MY MALAYSIAN PASSPORT FIRST AND THEN LATER MY UK VISA. CAN ANYONE HELP ME?

i can only speak from my personal experience which was being a british passport holder and living in dubai. when the passport expired before the visa they attached the two passports together till the new visa was done then the old one could be detached. i would assume this is what would happen but u s hould check with yr consulate to be sure.
