I PASSED MY M.D. PHYSIOLOGY FROM A MEDICAL COLLEGE.

AUTHORITY SAYS WE ARE GETTING STIPENED , DOES A STIPENED HAS BASIC PAY, D.A. AS WE HAVE??

AND WILL I GET ARREARS FOR LAST TWO YEARS.....

I PAY TAX NEARLY 20000/ YEAR....

  1. stipend is a fixed amount with no basic pay or da or anything like that. so no arrears unless the authrorities concerned decide to increate the rate of the stipend from a previous date.

  4. A Stipend is usually tax exempt u/s section 10(16) of the Income Tax Act. Also the section deals with scholarships, in a famous case it was held that it should be considered exempt.

    So you need not worry about DA, Basic, etc. in this case
