  1. The casinos in my area are $10 minimum bet tables, and go up to $15 if it's crowded or on weekend nights.  I take around $150 and plan to lose.  If I break even, it's like a freebie and winning, of course, is better!  Just look at it as a night out and take what you'd normally spend on a fun night on the town!  Save $20 for drinks and penny slots if your cash is going quick!

  2. How ever much ur will to gamble/lose...  Casinos are posed to be fun don't take ur life savings cuz u might regret it...

  3. How ever much you can afford to lose. Some people go nuts over $50 and some people don't even lose a breathe when losing $10,000 on a bad bluff, it's all up to you and your budget.

  4. I am going to answer with regard to the minimum that you should bring as there is absolutely no maximum.  Or perhaps I should say the maxiumum should be the most you are comfortable losing.

As for the minimum, it depends somewhat on where you are going to the casino.  If you are going to Vegas, you could bring $20 and throw it in the penny slots and get sloshed while you have a little fun (and there is plenty of other entertainment around -- free lounge bands, etc so that you won't even need to spend that much time gambling if you don't have the money).  If you want to have a little more fun than penny slots provides, you should probably play blackjack.  This is another spot where the particular casino depends.  In Vegas there is so much competition that you can find $5 blackjack in many places (and $3 at the Sahara) -- you can almost always find a $10 table even in the big places.  I wouldn't start playing blackjack at those tables with less than $100.  On a recent trip to Atlantic City, I was hard pressed to find a $10 table -- I only found one table after checking 4 casinos and it was full.  Everything else was $15 and up.  My local casino here in upstate NY is $10 and up on the blackjack tables.  I think 10 times the minimum bet you plan to play is a good reference at to the least you should start with.

Now, if you plan to play craps, it's another story altogether.  Craps gets expensive quickly (of course you can also win a lot quickly).

I'd say you should bring at least $100 -- probably $200 so you have plenty to play a little and eat.  If you're a gambler and plan to get a little crazy, bring more.  I used to play a lot of blackjack, but now I pretty much exclusively play poker.  I never go into the casino with less than $500 in my pocket, but I usually bring closer to $1,000.  Tomorrow I'll be going up to play a slightly bigger game, so I'll be bringing $3,000 with me.  It really all depends on what you want to play and how you want to play it.

By the way -- sign up for the rewards program wherever you go and then let them track your play.  If you don't know what I'm talking about -- you sign up for a free casino card.  If you're playing slot machines, you put it in the machine.  If you're playing table games, you toss it down on the table when you first sit down and the dealer/floorperson will take it from you.  Either way, the casino is tracking your play and seeing how much you bet and how long you play.  They then have rewards programs where you can earn comp $ for food or discounted or free rooms, etc.  You may not expect to play for long -- but who knows, you may end up winning and sitting there for 3 or 4 hours making a bunch of money and getting a free dinner to boot.  Even if you don't, the casino will have you on their mailing list and then they will send you different offers in the mail and maybe at some point when you want to go back you'll get a better deal.

    Have fun and good luck.

  5. not to much it is more prbable that you are going to lose the money that is what they do i have heard of people that have almost gambled their house!!!!!

  6. If its a local casino, I generally would take no more than $30.  But if its somewhere that is a far drive, somewhere that you only go to once or twice a year, I'd take $75 to $100.

  7. the most is 100 to 200 no more no less
