  1. Sure why not. Eventually you will have to learn some Bengali.

  3. Lose the caps - they are a humble folk.

  4. Sure. Study some of their language, though, first.

  5. Yes you can live in Bangladesh even if you do not know Bangla language. This is because the British Empire ruled us for about 200 years and our village people know English words a bit if not the full sentences. In cities you would have no problem communicating with the people in offices, but sometimes you may have to use a bit of 'Banglish' to pass across your message to the Rickshaw-pullers or cab drivers. There are plenty of onlookers to help you out in translation when you would need one (lol).

Btw, there were over 100 German language speaking people (engineers, technicians and logistics etc) who were working in the Austro-German consortium (KVK) for the installation of Pulp & paper Mill as Chhatak-Sylhet back in 1970s and I found them going well with the natives even though those KVK people did not speak or know the English language.

We have pure vegetarian serving restaurants, though not exclusively for the vegs, in Bangladesh and you would find us similar in culture to Indian and Pakistani people when the food habit is concerned.

Hope you would enjoy your stay and food here in Bangladesh!
