  1. Yes you have to be 16yrs old, but if you put in money then thats yours nobody can take it away from you.

All the banks will do is mind it for you, and thats all more you put in, you will have a better future infront of you.

    Good Luck Hope this helps

  2. To have a sole bank account you have to be 16 yrs old, the money you pay into your account is YOURS, no one else can take your funds unless you transfer the funds to them..that will be 25.00 pls

  3. wait if u put in 100 they only take 25???

    tha doesnt make much sense

  4. Sometimes banks do take money from your account, for example because you took more money out of your account than you had in there (overdraft penalty fee). But I think you will not be able to open a bank account with overdraft facility, so you should be safe.

Also, for some accounts the bank will charge you a certain amount of money per year for providing you a certain service. Again, I don't think this applies to you.

As long as you put more money in than you take out, and as long as you have a "free bank account", the bank will not take any money. Maybe one of your parents/providers can help you open a bank account, if you are not allowed to open one (yet). Happy banking!
