It's better to get one or adopt one from a cat shelter, animal rescue Facility, or a pound. Because they have lots of cats and kittens in need at a nice home. It's a way nicer act to get a cat in need then a pure bred cat that people breed like crazy. I got my cat from Petco. They had found kittens in an alley or somewhere in the streets and the brought them back to Petco and rescued them. It's really thoughtful what some people do to help save animals. Hope this helps. BTW, you can get a cat from the Humane Society sometimes. Also from and animal rescue facility in your area usually.
