Um... How was it that he was able to have running water and electricity? Oh.. and not to mention the Mustang he was marketing - being so clean and not a scratch on it while his van was dirty and banged up. And where would he get 3 year's worth of gas for two vehicles? I guess the gas part would be possible... I just thought this stuff was hilarious.

  1. Generators will run anything.Even a gas pump and He kept the car in a garage. If there were no people the food would last one person forever except for fresh meat which he was trying to hunt.Milk, dairy, and meat would spoil.A deep freeze running on a generator would supply food for the three years, the last of which probably wouldn't taste that great. There you go.A sad movie I thought.Who would ever want to be the last person on earth? And because he had nothing to live for the new place just didn't seem to fit him.

  2. Read the original book, it is much better than the movie, and explains how he managed to survive.

The movie also changed the ending, which made the title lose its meaning.

I hate it when they don't bother to make sense, like the bowl of perfect fruit on the counter.

  3. It was a movie!  Suspend reality and enjoy (or dislike) the movie.

  4. Generators gave him electricity. If he is the only one getting water out of a water tower, its going to last a long time. Water towers only use gravity to dispense water. As far as gas, a siphon will do the trick.
