Question:

I Am Looking At Purchasing An Appliance Repair Warranty. Can You Help?

Has anyone purchased through AHS (American Home Shield) home warrenty plan? If so, have you ever used it? Do you know of anyone that has this? For an extra $39 a month I understand that they will repair or replace the covered systems or appliances if they breakdown. I am just wondering if anyone has ever used this warranty before & what they think of it. Thank you!

  1. Total waste of money. Set that money aside and by the time something breaks you will probably have saved enough to replace it instead of fix it.

  2. All I know is that they will always choose repair over replacement and use the cheapest hands possible for the repairs.I know many people that are not pleased with AHS and feel like they were suckered in with "smoke and mirrors".

Mustang is right,it's a rip off.

  3. $39 a month is outrageous. Don't waste your money.

  4. Major appliances are some of the most reliable items in existence. Instead of paying these people why don't you put that $39 per month in a High yield CD or other good savings program. Every major appliance I have ever owned lasted so long that my wife finally made me replace it just because she wanted a new one or wanted to remodel. Appliance Repair Warranties are a rip off and a waste of money.
