I might have a warrent or some problems in the US. So my question is, when I goto the US embassy to get this letter stamped (basically just a letter for the bank to allow me to open an account) does the US consul run your background, or passport ?? I went to the embassy with my letter, and she said I had to wait for the consul to sign it in front of him. She took my passport and then told me to go pay the fee (I didnt have the money on me, so I had to leave) but this raised the question.

  1. Background checks are routinely run, and hits may pop up in the system, depending on the specific circumstances.  If you think you may have some problems in the US, you are much better off taking care of them now, rather than having your attempted entry into, or stay in, the US interrupted.

  2. the likelyhood of the administration is very high especially since you wanting to open a bank account , that will be the first reason to check you passport  out at the moment of you giving your passport ........beware now ? you got away once ?

do not push your luck if you call that luck?

if you may have an warrant arrest? usually one does not # may have an arrest # .............. they do, of not ..........
