1. Try staying up the full night one day...

  2. i normally stay awake for 36 hours and go to sleep the next day at 6:00pm....its like resetting a clock!

  3. 1) Soundproof: Soundproofing your room will not only help you fall asleep, it will help you stay asleep.

    2) Read. Reading will help the mind focus on only one thing, instead of racing about the day's activities. Read something calming rather than an exciting thriller novel. Fairy tales or nonfiction would be good choices.

    3) Imagine yourself sinking into the mattress

    4) Pray or meditate

    5) Think of impossible things Think of the most strange impossible things as fast as you can and don't stop. For example, imagine purple Twinkies™ walking on the walls then they grow red wings with yellow fishhooks dangling from them.. etc. Just think of the most weird strange thing you can and let the thoughts keep getting more and more strange and make less and less sense

  4. smoke a bowl,

    2 tylenol pm's

    warm milk

  5. Make sure you are warm. And before you go to sleep read a good book. It makes you tired. You can read for a hour or more and then you will be tired and go to sleep. I hope.

    Good Luck.

  6. I sometimes listen to thunder storms in my ipod. Keep the volume low it will help you clear your head.

  7. try staying up all night then you will crash the next day.....works for me

  8. I'm like you because of chronic pain. I try to "reset" my sleep hour by going to bed a few minutes earlier everynight, little by little...

I'm also taking a light medication because the lack of sleep is terrible for me. Good luck!

  9. Two ways: 1) lots of s*x 2) lots of beers. Your choice.

  10. There are so many suggestions it's hard to know where to begin. First, try to figure out what's causing it. Diet, exercise, stress - yeah, yeah, yeah, we've heard it all before - they're all factors. Second, try simple things you can do to begin with - stop caffeine and tobacco, consider eating foods high in L-Tryptophan (i.e. turkey) several hours before 11PM, supplements like Melatonin are a good investment, etc.

Bluntly put, you can't answer this without answering some questions about yourself first.

  11. read a book after every interval of a half hour, in between try laying down to fall asleep

  12. Your body clock has gotten into the pattern of getting to sleep at 3:30am. You should gradually start getting to bed earlier. For example, the next night go to bed at 3:00am - do that for a few nights then start going to bed at 2:30am, then 2:00am etc until you get to 11:00pm or 11:30pm. Then keep to this sleep pattern - going to bed and getting up at the same time every day.

    To help you sleep:

    - Watch the amount of caffeine you have in your diet. Cut down on coffee, tea and fizzy drinks. Caffeine in excessive quantities is a substance that can keep you from sleeping.

    - Don't do any strenuous exercise up to three hours before bedtime as the adrenalin can stop you from sleeping.

    - Two hours before bedtime switch off the TV, computer, game console etc and instead read a good book.

    - Taking a relaxing bath can really help you to get to sleep.

    - Don't eat a big meal before bed. Drink a hot chocolate or hot milk.

    - Keep your bedroom as darkened as possible by using curtain or blinds that completely block out the light. Also keep your bedroom cool. If it is hot you will find it difficult to sleep.

    - Ensure that your bed and mattress are both comfortable.

    Good luck.

  13. During the day do as much cardio as possible & during the night before you sleep, read a book

  14. make some chai tea, drink allot until your way full. lite some insense, leave the radio on really low, leave all the windows open so its cold and put the covers over your head so you get relly hot and almost pass out. +also dont eat any food too late because itll give you energy

    lol nd weed works too

ya.. this is what works for me :)

  15. Take Benadryl... Guaranteed to make you pass out in less than an hour... My wife takes it every night and I do too sometimes...

  16. work harder during your day

  17. maybe edward turned you into a vampire.

  18. I cant either!!!!!! It's 5 am over here!!!!!!!!! So, try being very active during the day, dont consume too much caffeine, and try taking a bath right after bed.

  19. smoke pot

  20. Yes, you can put alcohol or drugs of some kind in your body to help you fall asleep, but then you have another problem. It's not usually a good idea to fix one problem with another one. Try setting an alarm for the time you want to wake up and make yourself do that nomatter how exhausted you feel. Don't give yourself any caffeine or chocolate, etc. that will keep you artificially up. Make yourself eat healthy small meals during the day and get out for a walk in fresh air. Then lay yourself down at night at the time you feel you should sleep. The truth is that s*x is one of the best aids in getting a good nights sleep. Isn't that a happy thought?!

  21. Pull an ALL NIGHTER. Then go to bed at 5pm and try to sleep until 7am the next day.

Don't forget to rub one out before bed.

    Exercise helps too.

  22. If you like calming sounds put it on a cd and play it through a portable mp3 player or ipod.Just lie listning to that. I do that it helps me. Also if you do that take a cup of tea or hot chocolate not coffee ! lol

    Hope this helps

  23. Do you sleep late? Can you gradually get yourself up earlier and earlier so you go to bed earlier? Give yourself a nighttime routine that you follow and read a book in bed. That always helps me relax and get sleepy.

  24. i think you might be waking up to late?

its a common thing to do during summer vacation

because you dont really have a bed time so you wake/sleep

whenever. its the same for me but i dont really mind

because i know as long as i wake up early and start

getting into the habit of waking up earlier and going

to bed earlier, i'll be "cured."

if you are active all day though it actually does get you

sleepy. i went to camp, you had to wake up at 7 and go to bed

at 10 and usually if i had to wake/sleep at those times

at home i would never be able to do but because i was doing

activites ALL day i got tired around 9 and i was pretty surprised.

  25. My suggestion is to try Nikken Sleep system. It is much better than using drugs and it also improves quality of sleep. The system is not very expensive and can be tried out from any serious Nikken independent distributor.

This system has solved lot of problems and was recognized by the World Federation of Chiropractic (WFC) as the best sleep system.

  26. I'm doing what U R saying right now. Try a couple slugs of whiskey!

  27. Do something tiring all day like sports or go for a long walk.

Before you go to bed, have a hot bath to relax you and drink some hot milk or hot chocolate, or even some de-caf tea or coffee. There's some herbal remedies available too. Almost like natural sleeping pills.

I havrn't tried this but it's meant to be good.
