  8. Research has shown that microscopic channels in our taste buds- termed TRPM5- are responsible for different taste perception at different temperatures. The reaction of TRPM5 in our taste buds is much more intense when the temperature of food or fluid is increased, sending a stronger electrical signal to the brain and resulting in an enhanced taste.

"“The clearest example for sweet taste is ice cream. Ice cream does not taste sweet when it is frozen but only when we melt it in the mouth. On the other hand, melted ice cream is very hard to drink because it is extremely sweet,” said researchers.

The same effect occurs with beverages like beer or wine, in which a bitter taste becomes much more apparent when the products are consumed above the appropriate temperature.

On the other hand, consumers enjoy a certain bitter taste in some beverages, such as coffee, tea or cocoa, which is why these taste better when hot."

  10. Lipton's ice tea is very good especially in hot weather.  Their yellow label is better drunk hot when it is cold.

Also nice. Putting that "I challenge you to answer." I could not resist!

  12. duh, what a challenge. Because your body is at a steady 37°C and a cold drink gives you stomack cramps whereas a hot one has to be around 40-50°C to even pass your mouth, otherwise you would burn your mouth and spit it out instead of swallowing it.

  13. i dont think it is

  14. That all depends on where you come from and what your preference is. I personally enjoy both hot and cold teas.

  15. It isn't.

I challenge you to come up with a question of substance and not waste people's time with such nonsense!
