I CLEANED A BASEMENT WITH 1.35 GALLON OF BLEACH?

basement, alot of bleach, no ventalation , breathing the fumes from this for 2 days (big basement to clean) now i feel sluggish, itchy and watery eyes, now for the bad part of it all my lungs feel like their filling up with fluids. i sit up i don't cough but as soon as i lye down i start coughing like mad. can anybody tell me what i can do at home to fix this myself without the hospital. i'm playing MR MOM and don't want this to happen to me again. any insight.

Walk in clinic or ER, you may have fried your lungs and you don't want to waste any time.

Bleach couses pneumonia! Please get it checked out, you may need a anibiotic... sorry hun I know you didnt want to hear this kind of answer but it hapened to me, i was cleaning a bathroom with bleach and no ventalation and I got pneumonia for like 2 weeks, if you really at all posible can not go to any kind of walk in clinic or anything, if you have any old antibiotics lieing around start yourself on 3 a day morning evening and night, drink lots of water and juice, no milk and don't lie down, even to sleep try just reclining in a chair or something, becouse when you lie down the fluid fills up your lungs and can couse you to drownd, i hope everything goes okay!

I would get it checked out, my friend had sugar crystals forming inside her eye, you can go blind with bleach fumes.

Mr. Mom,

You sound like you have had a significant chlorine gas exposure.  You need to go to Emergency for evaluation.  You could die.

"In case of inhalation: Chlorine inhalation may cause coughing, nausea, vomiting, headache, dizziness and difficulty breathing.  It may also cause pulmonary edema (build-up of fluid in the lungs) which may be delayed by several hours and can be fatal."  

PLEASE go now to the hospital.  Call an ambulance if you have to.  This is serious.
