I CUT OFF 5 INCHES OF MY HAIR!!!!!!!?

Question

Yesterday i my hair was to my waist we went to the hairdresser and cut off 5 inches and now were going back to get more cut off i don't know how i should cut off and what style to get. any help?

I want a HUGE change!

I have black hair 5 inches above my waist!

I would of recommended cutting one more inch. That way you could of donated it to Locks of Love for cancer patients.

If you're ambivalent about how much more to get cut off and what style you should have, I wouldn't suggest that you go back to the stylist right away.   It's still so long that I don't think layers will really work for you (i.e. the weight of the long hair won't work except for the much shorter layers right in the front), but it depends upon your hair type.

However, if you really want to keep snipping away . . .do you have bangs/fringe?   If not, just try layering the hair in the very front of your face. . . don't go for "wispy," feathery type fringe, since that may not be powerful enough to offset the rest of your very long hair.  

Why not try some dark red highlights that wash out over time (i.e. not permanent), so you can have a slightly different look that you're not stuck with if you tire of it, or decide you don't really like the highlights.   Notice that I said DARK red. . .you want the highlights to look sun-kissed, not like a zebra :)

Side bangs and lots of layers would look gorgeous. My hair used to be at my waist too, but 3 days ago I got it 2 inches below my shoulder, side bangs, and layers. It is really cute! You should go for it!
