  1. How long have you been trying? More than 1 year should be checked out by a doctor. Try an ovulation kit too to track your ovulation. Good luck!

  2. Hi Milo213,

I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble getting pregnant. Don't lose hope though, there is lots you can do.

If you haven't already, you and your partner need to get physically checked out to eliminate whether there are any medical conditions preventing you from conceiving, such as Endometriosis, low sperm count etc. If there are specific conditions to address then following the doctors advice is the best course of action.

Whether you do or don't have a medical condition there are plenty of other things you can do to increase your chances of getting pregnant. Not the least of which is following a preconception care type lifestyle. This mainly involves a very healthy balanced diet and lifestyle along with taking specific preconception vitamin and mineral supplements.

Your lifestyle impacts cannot be underestimated in terms of affecting yours and your partners reproductive health. Conception is a delicate process that relies on so many factors they are far too numerous to mention. You need to support those factors to the maximum possible so cleaning up your lifestyle habits such as drinking and smoking and eating a fresh foods diet will help significantly. In fact, preconception care along with well timed conception attempts has been proven to increase your chance of conceiving by as much as 80%. Not only that, it has also been shown to greatly decrease the risk of miscarriage and birth defects.

If you feel that your lifestyle etc is already up to scratch then perhaps timing your conception attempts might be out. Ovulation predictor kits are your best friend for fixing this.

I wish you lots of luck.

  3. you should probably get tested by the doctors to see if you have a fertility problem or some other underlying problem.

  4. Have you been charting your ovulation? http://www.fertilityfriend.com/ is a good place? If you haven't, try it for 6 months and see if that helps, if you have, go see a specialist- a reproductive endocrinologist. I know how you feel, we ttc for 3 years before finally going to a specialist.  My husband has a low sperm count, and that's what the problem was with us. Don't lose hope!  It feels horrible I know, but your time will come!
