Question:

I Can't sleep at night

i have been having trouble sleeping at night....and when i do fall asleep i have nightmares i wake up all sweaty then i cant remember my dreams but when i wake up i feel my heart racing...i havent slept in several days...any ideas on how to fall asleep and stay asleep?

  2. i feel your pain. Run during the afternoon. At least a mile. Thats what i do and its been workin.

  3. i cant fall asleep cuz i picture things

    what helps me sleep is a lamp on and a tv running

    just put it on a boring tv show and i asure you you will fall asleep.

  4. i watch tv to help me go to sleep. theres something about it that makes u fall asleep. if ur really tired u should stay asleep.

  5. Right before You go to sleep... Make a"Pact" with Yourself NOT to have Negative Dream Patterns........THINK POSOTIVE !!


  6. oh my god, you know, sometimes i experience that problem, what my relatives told me is to stop thinking so much before going to bed, exactly clear your mind. you have to have like a peace of mind before going to sleep in that way you can sleep solemnly. It does work for me. give it a try.

  9. Well some people drink milk before they go to sleep . But at night I guess that makes you go to the toilet. Maybe you should try taking some medicine that makes you calm , and you fall asleep. I had trouble falling asleep too. But at that time I was feeling very nervous , so my parents got me some medicine and it helped me

    Get a Massage.

    Listen to Soft Music.

    Drink Warm Milk.

    Drink Herb Tea.

    Eat a Bedtime Snack

    Avoid Caffeine, Alcohol and Tobacco

    Sleep on a Good Firm Bed

    Sleep on Your Back

    Get Some Physical Exercise During the Day

    Keep Regular Bedtime Hours

    If You Can't Sleep, Get Up

    Don't Sleep In

    Get Up Earlier in the Morning

    Keep Your Bed a Place for Sleep

    Avoid Naps

  11. maybe you need to not drink so much fluids four hours before time of sleep

    also don't drink alcohol (as this inhibit sleep patterns)

    caffeine products (soda, coffee, energy drinks() in the after noon may cause sleep problems

    sleep apnea..have a sleep study if you snore (obstructive breathing)

    see a ENT to check you for a deviated septum?

    keep bedroom dark and not hot (lighted alarms clocks or dials or night light can cause sleep interruptions)  

    use bedroom for only sleep and s*x (no reading or TV or ping pong)_eating? don't eat four hurs before time of sleep!

    have a physical as this is a sign of diabetes..blood sugar could be high as this is a sympton of night sweats and exessive thirst

  18. go in the medicine cabinet and find some benadryl.  Take 2.  It'll knock you out in a half hour.

  19. if your like 13-17 thats my same problem. i have to go to school in like a week and I stay up ALLLLLLLLL night doing nothing then i fall sleep and wake up at like 4 in the afternoon

  20. haha i have your problem except usually not nightmares and stuff, but your next checkup maybe ask your doctor ? well i take tylenol pm some nights, and it works really good, i take usually about an hour before i go to bed so it kicks in and i get tired. but let me know if it helps (:

  21. yoga, meditation, soft music, reading, anything that relaxes your body and lets it know it's time for sleep.

    for the nightmares you might want to look into finding why they are happening- try and pick apart the images, see if there is something in your life that might be the cause of the nightmares.
