  1. I am sorry you are so unhappy.  My Mum had all her teeth taken out when she was about your age when she was wrongly told that the persistent swollen eyes she was getting were caused by her teeth!

She got used to them and often said that it was the best thing she'd done.  However, it all depended on how good the teeth were.  Some fitted and she was happy, some didn''t and she was very miserable.

She learnt that you just had to keep going back to the dentist and making them adjust them until they are right.  I used to go with her and, on one occasion, the dentist actually threw the teeth across the room in temper.  But he did make a new set, which fit perfectly.

If you can be brave, which I know isn't easy, keep going back until they fit.  Whatever the dentist says, keep calm and just keep repeating: "I'm not happy with them, they don't fit."  Take a friend with you who can help fight your corner.  Just think how many film stars/pop stars have "perfect" teeth that aren't their own!  They wouldn't accept ill-fitting dentures and neither should you.

You can't change the decision you made and you shouldn't blame yourself.  That decision is done, the decision you can now control is to get the dentist to do his/her job properly.

  2. sue them or try t osee about gettingthem altered. im sorry you feel this way. but im sure your still a beautiful person. dont feel yoru alone. mail me back if you need someone to talk to

  3. you should get implants they feel like real teeth although they will be expensive and take maybe a year for them to all get into place.

and PLEASE you need to keep your head up and try for your kids, I used to get depressed about my teeth, and you could say 'at least you have teeth' but really I used to cry alot. But now I just have to suck it up (not that I'm telling you to suck it up but you really have to try for your kids. theres nothing wrong with crying somtimes but just try not to and you wlil eventually be ably to go on stonger than before. Think of it this way 'There is more to life than just Teeth' and you've got your whole life ahead of you. DONT GIVE UP you really do have alot to live for ! also you could get help for your feelings and just try to get councelling that will build you up. and dont for get that Jesus loves you, Nobody is perfect and we all make stupid decisions sometimes.

Its not too late to get teeth.

    ALL the Best x

  4. its a choice that you made... the only thing you can do is get dental implants.. but they are quite expensive and if not done correctly can cause infection. Thats your choice... its unfortunate, but i completely understand how depressed you can be .. i have my own dental issues that depress me from time to time. Its hard not to dwell on it, because your smile is very important and people who have a perfect smile dont seem to realize how difficult it can be.

I dont know how much help this will be but i can sympathise with you, and you just have to live with the coices you made. Maybe in time u can correct it, but the longer you wait the more difficult it will be because your jaw bones shrink leaving little bone to implant in, making them do bone graphing.. more money... it sucks i know.

  5. I am so sorry. Sometimes dentures are just not something people can adapt too. This isn't something people share often. Sometimes people think that getting all their teeth pulled is the answer to their problems but find out chewing with them is like trying to pick up a piece of paper with fake hands. It is possible to adapt but only if you can find a dental lab that knows what they are doing. Dentures have to fit just perfectly or they will not stay in place. Some people gag with the roof of the mouth covered. Others have a terrible time keeping the lower denture in place since there is so very little surface and the denture cannot get suction and just has to sit there. Often people resort to having to glue them in.

I wish I could help you more than just be a friend. The only alternative left once your teeth are gone would be to see if you could get at least 2 implants that can hold the denture in place. Even mini's really help.  I have dental implants and they really are great.
