  1. put a piece of clean cardboard under your cars engine on the floor to see if it is truely leaking. it's possible they didn't tighten up the oil filter or they might have just spilled a little oil on the engine. so if it continues I'd check the oil filter.  if it stops it's just a little spilled oil

  2. Some times when the oil filter is taken off the gasket will stay on the block and when the new one is installed there is then 2 gaskets on it,causing a leak. Also they may have stripped the oil plug or spilled oil on the motor when putting it in. Before you take it back check the oil just in case you lost all of it on your way home.

  3. the oil filter may have a bad seal, oil filter not tightened all the way or put on improperly. oil drain plug may not be tightened down as well take it back to the shop where you got it done and tell them whats going on better yet give them a call first and tell them whats all going on so you don'tt take a chance of hurting your car

  4. go baack and tell them something happened and they need to fix it.

  5. Check around filter and drain plug.Tighten which ever is loose

  6. tighten it up

  7. hose not correctly installed. Bolt not tightened. Catastrophic seal failure... take it back to the shop you had oil changed at and have it checked!

  8. depending on how far you drove after the oil change till you pulled into the garage it could be just drips left over from the oil change just check the oil level and keep an eye on the drip

  9. If it is green, yellow, pink, brown, or amber colored and is slippery, they you need to take it back. If it is clear and it is water, it could be condensation from the Air Conditioning. Take it back, it may be the drain plug is loose or the oil filter is not installed properly.

  10. Yup.  Likely the filter or the drain plug.  Put a piece of cardboard under the car and figure out where the oil is dripping from, then when you take it back to the oil change place you can tell them what to look for.

  11. Agreed on the answer above. But on the flip side the person that put oil in your car could have just as easily spilled oil; allowing it to drip from your car. I would check the oil, the oil pan drain and the filter to make sure they are there and tightened fully. Shops have been known to be going so quickly that they forget things!

  12. The very first thing to do is pull your  oil dipstick and check your oil level. Is it on full ?  If it is then just go back to where they changed it and tell them you think it is leaking. If it is low ( very low ) then don't drive without adding oil. But do not over fill. Take it back and let them check it as soon as possible just to be safe.

    Good luck

  13. HI

If it wasn't leaking before the oil change then take it back and tell them so and ask them to make sure they tighten the oil drain plug and that the filter is on tight..

    Good Luck

    Tim

  14. Take it back

  15. PROBABLY THE OIL FILTER OR THE OIL DRAIN PLUG IS LOOSE, TIGHTEN AND RECHECK. GOOD LUCK!!!
