  1. I got my teeth pulled Aug 5 2008... 4 impacted wisdom teeth. I was back on a normal diet within a few days, but I had trismus for about 2 weeks after the surgery. After those 2 weeks I was completely back to normal.

PS- if you don't know what trismus is, it basically means you have sore jaw muscles and are unable to open your mouth all the way. It feels like you will never be able to again, BUT YOU WILL!

Feel free to email me if you have any more questions.

  2. Usually after a couple days your teeth and eating habits will go back to normal. I would try eating something not so solid for starters and work your way up. Like apple sauce and then eventually on to harder stuff.

  3. I had all 4 of mine pulled when I was 16...I'm 48 now. It took about 7-10 days...in the meantime be careful of food with small pieces like sesame seeds. I remember having a Burger King burger before the holes had closed up and the seeds from the bun got embedded in the holes...Grrrrr. I had to go back to the dentist for him to pluck them out...not fun! Otherwise...you'll be fine. In the meantime, enjoy some yummy shakes :)

  4. GIVE IT TIME TO HEAL ...........A FEW DAYS

  5. You should be back to normal by the end of the week. Start out with softer foods and things you don't have to chew to swallow. You need to exercise your jaw or it will take longer to get used to eating.
